John Infantino is the chief executive officer of Federal Group International and has overseen more than 30 private and public business transactions involving large-scale property management, building redesign and redevelopment, and community master planning throughout the United States and overseas. Among other projects, John Infantino and Federal Group International led the redevelopment of the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Washington, D.C.
John Infantino restored historic facilities t accommodate the charter schools allowing young children to be schooled on the campus- a first in over 200 years. He also assisted national Veterans Associations and the Soldiers Home in securing over $30 million for 35 acres sold to Catholic University which funded future services to veterans living in Washington DC.
Originally built in the 1800s, the Armed Forces Retirement Home is one of the largest, veteran retirement homes in the United States. Recently, soldiers and civilians celebrated the National Cherry Blossom Festival, as well as the 102nd anniversary of the gift of cherry trees to the United States by Japan. The District celebrated the blooming of the cherry trees by playing music, setting off fireworks, and planting new cherry trees.
On April 11th, the president of the National Cherry Blossom Festival helped plant 24 new Japanese cherry trees along MacArthur Drive, overlooking the Washington Monument and the U.S. Capitol Building. Others were planted at the Armed Forces Retirement Home. Volunteers from Casey Trees and the Armed Forces Retirement Home helped with the planting.
